Banghee Chi, M.P.H, EdD (ABD)

Born in South Korea, Banghee immigrated to the United States with her family at the age of two. She was raised in the East Bay region of California, where she developed a strong commitment to racial equity and social justice.

Banghee earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Pomona College in Southern California. She subsequently spent two years conducting medical research at the University of California, San Francisco, before relocating to New York City to pursue graduate studies. There, she earned a Master of Public Health from the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health and a doctorate in Adult Learning and Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University.

Throughout her career, Banghee has held a range of research, development, and leadership roles within nonprofit organizations. In these capacities, she has successfully secured millions of dollars in funding to support programs serving low-income and historically underserved communities.
