Merih is an Assistant Professor of Pathology and Director of Core Laboratory at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. Prior to graduate school, Merih worked as a Medical Technologist in Asmara, Eritrea. He learned about Pathologist Overseas through Tim Amukele in 2008 while working at the National Health Laboratory in Eritrea, and began active involvement with the organization in 2018.
